COVID-19

Sungarden Villa continues to follow the CDC and California Department of Public Health guidance related to the COVID-19 emergency.


As advised by the CCLD (Community Care Licensing Division), Sungarden Villa restricts visitation of all visitors and non-essential health care personnel, except for certain compassionate care situation, such as an end-of-life situation. In those cases, visitors will be limited to the resident's room only.



- All of our caregivers and residents are being screened, includng taking daily tempeatures. They will be instructed to wash hands upon entry to the cummunity and reminded to frequently perform hand hygiene.


- All congregate activities/events have stopped, since it doesn't allow social distancing of 6-ft minimum.


- Those visitors/nurses that are permitted, must wear a facemask and gloves while in the facility, restrict their visit to the resident's room and must enter/exit the facility through the resident's room sliding glass door.

Services provided


Basic Services

The basic services, described below, are based on the resident's pre-placement appraisal and are included in the monthly rate.

ACCOMMODATION

Every resident will have a private furnish bedroom with a private bathroom. You are encouraged to personalize Your room by providing your own furnishings and personal property, if not we will provide you with a bed, nightstand, dresser, rug, lamp, chair/recliner, TV. You are also entitled to use and enjoy with all the other residents the indoor and outdoor common areas.

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

We assist you with the administration and storage of your meds, stored separately from the other residents in a locked centralized location. We will also assist you in taking self-administered meds to the extent allowed by state law. We offer assistance in communicating with your physician and pharmacy for new/old prescriptions and refills.

24/7 CARE & SUPERVISION

Continuous care and supervision 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have two caregivers during the day and one awake caregiver during the night.

ASSISTANCE WITH ADL

Activities of the daily living (ADL) such as, dressing, eating, toileting, bathing, grooming, transferring, mobility tasks and any other personal care needs requested, to the extent allowed by applicable state law. Repositioning the resident in bed to avoid bed sores, tray service and sponge bath in bed shall be available for minor temporary illnesses or recovery from surgery.

MEALS & SNACKS

Three nutritionally well-balanced meals and two snacks per day are included. Tray service will be provided in case of temporary need. Modified diets will be available, if prescribed by your physician as a medical necessity.

PERSONAL HYGIENE

We offer hygiene items of general use, such as soap, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, gloves and wipes. We offer a separate personal laundering service for each resident. Clean bed and bath linens will be provided weekly, or as often as needed. Your room and bathroom will be cleaned every day, or as often as needed.

APPOINTMENTS MANAGEMENT

We will assist you with scheduling appointments for medical, dental or any other needs. We will remind you of your upcoming appointments and ensure that transportation is arranged if assistance is needed or desired.

TRANSPORTATION

We can help and assist you with arrangements for transportation in order to meet your necessary medical and dental needs. We will make arrangements for You, such as a taxi, Dial-A-Ride or our optional transportation service and you will be responsible for the fare, if any.

Your information and health records are confidential and are not released without your written consent or your authorized legal representative.

PHONE ACCESS

You will have reasonable access to the facility’s telephone, to both make and receive confidential calls. We will require reimbursement for long distance calls.

We will provide an individualized program of recreational activities, opportunities for participation, and services designed to meet your physical, social and spiritual needs. A weekly activity schedule based on all residents individualized program will be posted.

We will provide an individualized exercise program designed to meet your physical needs and goals. A weekly activity schedule based on your individualized exercise program will be posted in your room.

Our wheelchair accessible non-emergency transportation service, will get you to your appointment on time. We will assist you at the appointment's location as well.
